Why Does Anxiety Recalibration Work?
Calibration is about checking the accuracy of something, be it an instrument, a behaviour or a change. Scientists, psychologists, business owners and the lay person uses calibration when they want to chart and achieve accurate results.
What calibration does, is to make sure that any errors in results are avoided and that the intended outcome is achieved. But this can only work if we know what to measure and how to achieve accuracy.
Accuracy is achieved by comparing two different sources, one is the model, the other is the intended model. So for example, if you want to be confident, and at the moment you aren’t, then by calibrating your mindset and subsequent behaviours, to that of someone who is confident, the coach, the psychologist, the boss or manager can give you what you need to be confident, feeling assured that by calibrating first, you get your intended outcome, ie to become more confident.

The above tips and techniques would be placed in the feel good/ divert your attention away from anxiety over the short term categories, and there is nothing wrong with them, in and of themselves, but if you want to eliminate anxiety, that is, if you want to not feel anxious in your day to day life, then you need something to eliminate the root cause of your anxiety and not just deal with the symptoms of anxiety.
